WHY LOW CARB REVOLUTION?
I’m Chef Alexa, award-winning Executive Chef, certified Personal Trainer, and certified Fitness Nutrition Specialist in Columbus, Indiana. A little over a year ago, I weighed over 100 pounds more than I do now! I had high blood pressure, borderline cholesterol levels, and general unhappiness. I started Low Carb Revolution at the request of people who watched my transformation from unhealthy to empowered and energetic.
A FORK IN THE ROAD
When my wife, Samantha, was prescribed insulin injections for Severe Type 2 Diabetes, we knew something had to change. She had been following the prescribed diet from the medical establishment and found her amounts of medications increasing. We didn’t want that to be our lives. After researching ways to control the disease, I developed a diet and exercise plan for us to be healthier. It worked! Soon, she was off all medications for both it and cholesterol. She lost 75 pounds and has kept them off for more than a year.
TRIUMPHING OVER BREAST CANCER
My best non-scale victory is that I triumphed over breast cancer. Luckily for me, weight loss led to its detection. The doctors and oncology staff that treated me often remarked on the few negative side effects I experienced and my positive attitude. I credit my low carb lifestyle and exercise program with helping me battle it and win.
